make/believe

Documenting the creative process of sisters Briana Linden (in Portland, Oregon) and Phaedra Elizabeth (in Brooklyn, New York). They've been working together for the past 27 years, since they met and became family when one was 7 and the other 5.

due to a very belated application of sunscreen, jeff and i swam the boys over to the shady side of the river and he swam back to constuct this fancy shady shelter.
you can see a little blow up pool in the top picture. the boys were not so sure about the river and so jeff was trying to find a flat spot to fill this with water so they could splash around.
there were no flat spots.

ok, i think my favorite is tibi using the badminton racket as a guitar. if we could get him over his fear of new experiences and large groups of adults, i'm sure that he could win the world champion air guitar contest.

this one might be my favorite too. these boys are just so Jeffrey's kids. I can't believe we ever thought he'd have girls. it's just so fun seeing him with his boys! building forts.

and ps, with me and tara as constant reminders, how did you forget to sunscreen them! we've taught you nothing!
